Dinner = Macaroni and Milk
Friday, November 20, 2009
Sometimes all I want for dinner is Macaroni and Milk. And yes that is really what it is. Macaroni fresh off the stove, milk poured on top, with salt and pepper to taste. I love it! My daddy and I used to eat it on Sunday nights (you know when you had a big lunch but are still peckish at dinner). So here's to my favorite comfort food, give it a try, it might surprise you.

party...After all we had been doing more exercise as a family (walks and bike rides). The weather had been feeling good lately and Sumner was BEGGING to ride his scooter. I decided to give it a whirl. I made an all ice sippy cup and grabbed the sunscreen and we were off.
About 10 feet into our 1+ mile walk, I thought its really bright and grabbed the umbrella for SaraJane. When we were about 50% of the way there Sumner started saying things like,"Mom, this IS the desert, are you trying to kill me". I assured him he was fine, but finally gave in and carried his scooter so he could have a chance holding the umbrella for shade. In case you've never done it, pushing a stroller while carrying a scooter is not easy. We finally saw the park and Sumner was off, sprinting toward the fun. I was left carrying the scooter, umbrella and pushing SaraJane through 200 yards of overgrown grass.
Sumner and SaraJane had fun eating ice-cream and playing. Then came our great trip home. We barely made it across the grass field before Sumner was lecturing me on how I loved SaraJane more because she got to ride in the stroller. Then came the, "I am going to die, I am really gonna die". Finally when we were 75% of the way home I gave up.
For the rest of the trip I had the joy of carrying SaraJane and the umbrella, while pushing 50 pound Sumner in an umbrella stroller while he held his scooter. Wow, that was a good idea. When I got home our temperature gauge thing said 108. Best day ever. :)
